Stop by and check out the great collection of wooden boats of all shapes and sizes at the 12th annual "Woodies on the Water".
"Woodies on the Water" a wooden boat show featuring wooden pulling boats, canoes, kayaks, sailboats and powerboats, both classic and new, all with their own unique character. The show takes place near Barker's Island Marina, on the Superior Bay (of Lake Superior).
Be sure to take some time to chat with the proud collectors and boat builders, each as interesting and unique as the boats themselves.
The public is invited to vote for their favorites "Best of" in four different classes and "Best in Show". With the sleek, smooth lines, detailed handiwork and the extraordinary glow of kiln dried wood- polished to a fine sheen deciding on your favorite is always tough. Come see for yourself unique beauty from bow to stern.
The festival is free and open to the public.
